• Starting the Game
  • Press the spacebar key on the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The lower right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for saving your game, controlling sound and music settings, and seeing game developer information.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to drag arrows from the tray at the bottom into the field of play.
    • Arrows you have laid down can be picked up and laid again.
    • Tap the spacebar or click on the character to send them in motion.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select an arrow box and drag it into position.
    • After the arrows are correctly positioned tap the skeleton to send it in motion.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper right corner has buttons to pause the game or restart the level.
    • The level select screen shows how many levels you have unlocked, with unlocked levels having a lighter background color.

  • Basics
    • In this game when you initiate movement the skeleton goes exactly where you tell it to.
      • It’s initial motion is in the direction it was facing when the level started.
      • It changes direction whenever it runs over a tile you laid on its path.
    • Your goal is to avoid the spikes, activate switches with boxes, and exit through the stairs at the end of each level.
      • Some spikes cycle retraction whilst others are deactivated via switch.
      • To avoid cycling spikes you must either go around them or cross while they are retracted.
      • You choose the moment you set the skeleton in motion, which combine with your path design to determine if the cycling spikes will be up or down when you through the area.
  • Tiles
    • You are given a set of tiles at the bottom of the screen which you can drag into the field of play.
    • On most levels you do not need to use all tiles to beat the stage.
    • When you walk across a tile with an arrow on it you change directions.
    • Tiles with a black icon in the upper left corner can only be used once, meaning they disappear after they have been crossed.
  • Level features
    • Cycling spikes: Starting on stage 2 you encounter spikes that retract and appear again. Time your initial movement so that the spikes are retracted when you cross.
    • Switch controlled spikes: these remain extended until you place a box over a switch to retract them.
    • Boxes: you can push them around to activate switches. Like in Sokoban games you can only push one box at a time.
    • Red Switches: activate them by placing a box on them. This retracts the spikes.
    • Doors: block your path and must be opened to complete the level.
    • Blue Switches: place a crate on them to unlock a door blocking your path.
    • Warps: go in one warp location and go out the other. When you exit the second warp portal you will travel in the same direction you were traveling when you went into the first portal.
  • Levels
    • This game has 30 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by safely making it through the exit.
      • You lose a level if you run into spikes, or if your route gets you stuck somewhere on the stage.
      • This game offers unlimited continues, but you have to re-lay all your arrow boxes when you restart a level.
  • Tips
    • If your timing is off when ing a cycling set of spikes consider timing your motion based on the cycle of the spikes (e.g. right when the spikes come out, or right as the spikes disappear) and then adjust your timing on future plays based on the performance on your test run.
    • You can only push a single box at a time.
      • Plan your routes so you turn before boxes touch or as boxes touch.
    • Rotating box orientation
      • If you want to push a box in 2 different directions push it the full extent of desired travel in one direction, turn out and around it, then push it down the second direction you want to take it.
    • You can reverse directions & go the opposite way you came from by placing an arrow facing the opposite direction of your travel.
      • Use an arrow with a black corner on it for the prior turn if you do not want to get stuck in a loop and turned onto the path initially.
