• Starting the Game
  • The game automatically loads to the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The upper right corner of the level select screen has a how to play button.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Left click and slide left or right to move the blue jelly along the upper part of the screen.
    • When the time is right & the blob is at the correct angle tap the spacebar to release.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the blue jelly and drag left or right to move it, then press the Go! button to drop it.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen has buttons for returning to the level select screen and controlling game sound.
    • The top center has a meter for how many of the hearts you have collected.
    • The upper right corner of the screen has buttons for restarting the level and pausing the game.
    • On the bottom there are 3 buttons for the power ups and the go button to drop the jelly.
      • The power up buttons are colorful and have a number near them if you have credits to spend.
    • The level select screen shows unlocked levels in neon green.

  • Basics
    • This is a physics puzzle game where you drop a jelly.
      • Your goal is to collect all the hearts and then have the two jelly lovers meet.
  • Layout components
    • Platforms – you can land on or bounce off of.
      • Platforms can be flat, triangle, or circular in shape.
      • You bounce off of platforms based on the angle you hit their angle at.
    • Toothpicks – if you land on these you slide down them like you are on a rail until you fall off them.
      • The momentum you have after traveling on a toothpick depends on where your body is positioned
    • Spinning platforms – these operate like a combination of platforms and toothpicks.
      • You can both bounce off of them and get stuck to them as they spin around until they fling you off.
    • Other jellies – other jellies harm you if you run into them.
  • Power ups
    • Types
      • Jelly hammer – hit other jellies before your journey to defeat them.
      • Bomb – blow up a platform.
    • Usage
      • Power ups are only available on some levels.
      • You can’t save a power up on one level to use it on the next level.
      • Each time you fail a level where you have a power up available you will have that power up available again on your next play of that level.
      • On some stages you have to use the power ups to win, but many stages can be beat without using the power ups.
  • Levels
    • This game has 20 levels which are unlocked seqeuntially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • To beat a level you must collect all the hearts on the stage & then have the blue jellry come to rest near the red jelly for 5 seconds.
      • You lose a level if you miss any hearts, do not connect with the red jelly, or run into another jelly type.
      • This game offers unlimited continues starting you at the beginning of any failed level.
  • Tips
    • Sometimes the most obvious way is not the correct way.
      • On some levels you’ll need to take a circuitous route and bounce off the sides of the screen to win.
    • Sometimes the game shows a game over screen, which then transitions into a you win screen a few seconds later.
      • Have patience if you completed the level and thought the game over screen was wrong.
    • Because of the physics behavior in this game small changes in your jelly angle, positioning, or release timing can have large impacts on the horizontal movement across platforms.
