• Starting the Game
  • Left click or tap anywhere on the welcome screen to begin.
  • To view your previous high score, choose the Top Run button on the lower left corner of the screen.
  • Open the character selection screen by selecting the Hero button on the lower right corner.
  • Next to the Hero button is the Shop button. Choose this option to open the shop screen.
  • Select on the gear icon on the upper right corner of the screen to open the options menu. Customization options include the following.
    • Language: Choose between English, Russian, French, and German.
    • Background music: Toggle whether you want music to play in the background.
    • Game sounds: Toggle the sound effects of the game.
    • Level of sensitivity: Choose how sensitive your game is on touch devices.
  • You begin the game with a basic in-game tutorial.
    • During the tutorial, you will not encounter any significant obstacles until after you’ve gone through all the controls.
  • Your browser automatically saves your progress and high score.

  • Navigation
    • You begin each run by confronting a cop.
      • While the cop will make chase, they will usually not catch you.
      • After a while, the cop just gives up and you can run free.
      • If you hit yourself but can still run, the cop might catch up to you.
      • On occasion, the cop can catch you, and it’s game over.
    • This is an endless running game; you automatically go forward.
    • Avoid stationary obstacles by jumping or rolling.
      • Time your jumps or rolls to coincide with the obstacle.
      • Jump or roll too soon and you could hit the obstacle anyway.
    • Avoid moving obstacles by switching lanes.
    • Sometimes you must switch lanes fast because two rows are occupied at the same time.
    • Click the headstart button on the lower left corner to activate the hoverbike at the start of a run.
      • This option is only available when you’ve bought or collected headstart power ups.
  • Collection
    • Collect coins and other items along the way.
      • Collect enough coins and you can unlock new runners and hoverboards.
      • A large enough sum of coins also lets you continue without starting all over again.
      • Travel through two different themed roads:
        • A beachside city
        • An Egyptian city
    • Hoverboards
      • Using a hoverboard is aesthetically similar to just running.
      • It also provides you with an extra level of protection.
        • If you hit anything while using a hoverboard, you can still keep going.
    • You may also collect keys.
      • Keys are another way to retry.
      • Each time you retry, the cost of retrying using keys goes up.
      • You can also use keys to unlock the hover bike
    • Collect assorted power ups for a bonus:
      • Headstarts: Lets you start a game with the hoverbike.
      • Pharaoh mask: Takes you to a bonus road
      • Hoverbike, jetpack: Puts you on a high-flying vehicle for a brief time
      • Hoverboard: Grants you one use of the hoverboard
      • Treasure chest: Gives you one random bonus
      • Balloons: Takes you to a different themed road
      • Super sneakers: Makes you run faster
      • Magnet: Collects nearby coins automatically, even in lanes you’re not in

  • Store
    • Use the store to buy power ups and upgrades.
    • Power ups are a one time use and work only for a limited time.

    • Each time you collect a pharaoh mask, you go to a bonus road
    • Travel down the road to collect more points and earn a bonus.
    • Reach the end for a big bonus.
    • If you crash in a bonus road, you resume your previous run.
  • Game over
    • The game ends when you crash into something, be it an obstacle or a moving vehicle.
    • If you can’t afford to retry, the game ends there.
    • The game over screen briefly shows your current score and the coins you collected for that level.
      • It will also show your hero in a cast and crutches.
      • Important: Don’t try any of these running shenanigans in real life.
    • If you made a new high score, the game will play a brief animation.
