• Starting the Game
  • Press NEW GAME on the welcome screen to start a new game.
  • If you have played the game before you can press CONTINUE to resume play at the furthest along level you reached.
  • Under both of the above there is a HOW TO PLAY button linking to gameplay instructions.
  • The lower right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for erasing game progress, and turning game sounds or game music off.

  • Desktop
    • Move left by pressing the left arrow key.
    • Move right by pressing the right arrow key.
    • Jump by pressing the up arrow key.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • The move left and move right buttons are in the lower left corner of the screen.
    • Tap the screen to jump.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner has buttons to pause the game, restart the current level, control game music, and control game sount.
    • The upper right corner shows how many seconds you have remaining to reach the next flag.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • This is a flag collecting game where you have 5 seconds to capture a flag.
      • Each flag can only be captured once. The flag goes to the bottom of the flag pole and turns a lighter gray when you capture it.
      • Each time you capture a flag the timer resets back to 5 seconds.
      • The level is beat when you have reached all flags.
    • Hazards
      • Spikes – these are stationary & you die if you run into them.
      • Moving blades – these move side to side or up and down & you die if they run into you.
      • Temporary flooring – some floors disappear quickly after you walk on them. In many cases you only have a single attempt to cross the temporary platforms and reach what is on the other side of the jump & if you miss you’ll need to replay the level.
  • Levels
    • This game has 30 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without erasing your play data and starting the game over at the first level.
      • When you beat the final level the game goes black. There is no game over screen.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You win by safely making it to every flag on the stage.
      • You lose if you run out of time, run into spikes, or get hit by a spinning blade.
      • This game offers unlimited continues starting you back at the beginning of the failed level.
  • Tips
    • Jumps
      • Some platforms are a good distance apart and require you to be partly off platform on the edge to be able to jump across.
      • Some jumps have you placed under another platform when you jump & require you to be moving outward to avoid hitting your head on the jump attempt.
      • When jumping over moving blades it is best to jump when they are moving the opposite direction as you so there is greater relative speed & better landing clearance.
      • The jumps requiring the greatest precision are the jumps near the top spikes on the final level. You have to make both jumps while moving horizontally, but can not run into the spikes & have barely more than the width of your square to land on in between the two sets of spikes.
    • Temporary platforms
      • The temporary platforms are fragile & disappear quickly.
      • In some areas there is a 2 unit wide temporary platform where you have to jump on twice to go different ways, meaning you can only step on one square each time.
      • If you are struggling with changing directions while jumping across sets of temporary platforms you can approach the first jump from the opposite side so you are well aligned for the later jumps.
    • Blades
      • When falling near moving blades it can make timing easier to fall down near the edges.
      • Some blades (like those on the last level) can’t be jumped over & require you waiting their voyage past you before you can progress further on the level.
      • When blades make the timing tight you can wait a bit further into the blade movement sequence to grab the prior flag so you have more time to get the next flag.
    • Try again
      • If you make a mistake you can press the restart button or just wait a couple seconds and try again.
