• Starting the Game

    • Use your mouse left click button where you want to drop a fruit.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger where you want to drop a fruit.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The fruit you are dropping next is shown near the top of the screen just under the score.
      • The next up fruit is shown in the upper right corner.
    • The upper left corner has buttons for settings and game information.
      • The options menu has buttons for sound control, music control, home, retry, and close/resume play.
      • The i button shows how much fruits are worth.
    • Your current score is shown top center in the game.
      • Your all-time high score is shown on the game over and welcome page.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • You lay fruit from the top of the screen on whatever vertical plane you wish.
      • This game has 11 different fruits in it.
      • The 4 smallest fruits are fruits that you may drop into the playing field, and 3 of the 4 can be created by merging fruits together.
      • The remaining 7 fruits can only be created by merging fruits together.
    • The fruit falls until it hits another fruit.
      • If fruits touch identical fruits they merge.
      • If fruits are not identical they may bounce off each other and move around.
    • Each time you lay a fruit the next up fruit becomes the current fruit and you get a new next up.
      • Observe what the next up fruit is everytime before making a play so that you do not accidentally block a valid move with your plays.
  • Fruit Values
    • You do not score points for laying fruits into the game, but score points for merging fruits.
      • 2 blueberries merge into a cherry, which is worth 4 points.
      • 2 cherries merge into a blackberry, which is worth 6 points.
      • 2 blackberries merge into a strawberry, which is worth 8 points.
      • 2 strawberries merge into a lemon, which is worth 10 points.
      • 2 lemons merge into an orange, which is worth 12 points.
      • 2 oranges merge into an apple, which is worth 14 points.
      • 2 apples merge into a coconut, which is worth 16 points.
      • 2 coconuts merge into a pineapple, which is worth 18 points.
      • 2 pineapples merge into a melon, which is worth 20 points.
      • 2 melons merge into a watermelon, which is worth 22 points.
  • Tips
    • Try to keep the fruits in ascending or descending numerical order early in the game so it is easy to make chain reactions & merge into larger fruits.
    • Always look at the “up next” fruit before making each play and consider what moves your current move may enable or disable.
    • If you do not have a great spot to set smaller pieces of fruit consider relying on the left or right walls of the game to hold them away from the center.
      • Try not to put real small fruits between the gaps in larger fruits in the center because the spaces can fill in and those small fruits can prevent you from merging larger ones.
    • If fruits are still moving after making a play wait a while to make your next play unless you are trying to quickly sneak a piece of fruit down a small gap that is likely to close soon.
  • Game variation
    • We host at least 3 different versions of this game. Differences between this game and others would be:
      • The playing field is a bit wider.
      • The fill line is a bit lower & you can lose from other fruits being pushed over the fill line even if they are not the fruit you lay into the field.
      • Fruits start off relatively small, which make it easy to stay organized early in the game.
      • You can in some cases touch 3 identical fruits at the same time, which can cause them to merge twice at once, skipping a step.
    • This game makes it easy to get a single watermelon, but makes it quite challenging to get multiple watermelons.
