• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, choose from either of the following options:
    • Time Attack
    • Story Mode
  • Select the enlarge button on the top left to switch between full-screen and windowed modes.
  • Select the flag button on the top right to choose the game’s language.
  • Select the speaker button on the top right corner to turn the game’s audio on and off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
    • If you have played the game in story mode before click on the double arrow to continue your prior story mode game, or click on the single arrow button to start a new game.

    • Tap on a jelly with your fingers to select it.

  • Basic rules
    • Objectives
      • Match groups of 3 or more jellies to remove them from the field.
        • To make a match, select one jelly, then select any horizontally or vertically adjacent jelly.
        • If it forms a valid row, the jellies explode.
      • Keep matching until you meet the level’s goal.
    • Hints
      • If you do not make a move for 4 seconds then 2 adjacent jellies will move, indicating a valid play you can make.
    • Scoring
      • You receive 30 points for every jelly you clear. The base amount of points you receive for matching a set of 3 is 90 points.
      • Extra items destroyed are worth 1.5x the normal score.
      • Destroying a bomb is worth 100 points.
      • Destroying a jolly is worth 300 points.
  • Game modes
    • Time Attack
      • You have a limited amount of time to clear as many groups of jellies as you can. You start off with 60 seconds.
      • This game mode offers bonuses:
        • You receive a bonus each time you remove 4 or more jellies.
        • Clearing 4 identical jellies gives you a bomb.
          • These will blow up any surrounding jellies regardless of color.
          • Don’t blow them up near other power ups or you won’t be able to use the others.
        • Clearing 5 identical jellies will give you a jolly.
          • Jollies flicker in each of the colors the jellies appear in.
          • Click or tap on a jolly to activate it. Once activated. it will remove all the identical jellies from the field
        • You also get hourglass bonuses.
          • These are generated at random after you clear a row of 4 jellies.
          • Select these to gain 15 seconds of time.
      • When you remove 4 or more jellies, you receive extra time.
        • You get 3 extra seconds for every row of 4 or more.
      • Earn as many points as you can to beat your original score:
        • Your current score is shown on the top left corner.
        • The previous best score is shown on the top right corner.
      • As you score more points the number of distinct types of jellies which appear on the board increases, making it harder to complete sets of 4 or more to earn extra time.
        • You go from 3 to 4 jellies at 12,000 points.
        • You go from 4 to 5 jellies at 22,000 points.
        • You go from 5 to 6 jellies at 31,000 points.
        • You go from 6 to 7 jellies at 39,000 points.
    • Story Mode
      • Story mode is divided into levels.
        • Only the first level is playable the first time you load the game.
        • Play one level to unlock the next one.
        • The level select screen shows the star rating and score you earned on each level.
        • You can replay any unlocked level to try to earn a higher score & star rating on it.
      • Your goal is to collect the number of specific jellies on the bottom of the screen before the timer runs out.
        • Meet these goals to clear the level.
        • As you advance through the game the number of jellies you must match increases & you also are given other goals like breaking wood blocks.
        • Wood blocks do not move & to destroy them you must make a set of 3 or more in a row over the top of them, or destroy them by detonating a bomb nearby.
          • The hardest wooden blocks to destroy are those in corners or edges, particularly if they are near the top of the board, so destroy them early if you can.
      • Level design
        • Each stage has a unique board layout, removal goal set, & time limit.
        • As you advance through the game some levels have jollies and time clocks which help you remove many pieces at once or add more time to the level time limit.
        • In higher levels some cells are locked in place with a gate, requiring you to match the items around them to make a set of 3 or more.
        • Some levels have a piece of glowing hard candy on them which you need to drop down to the bottom of the level to have it fall through and collect it.
        • Some levels have gaps in the board design which force you to match some cells only in one direction or another rather than being able to match in both direction.
      • Earn as many points as you can while finishing as fast as you can.
        • You receive 50 bonus points for every second remaining on the clock.
        • The higher your points at the end of the level, the higher your star rating.
        • Keep track of your points through the counter on the top left.
