• Starting the Game
  • Select the play button on the right side of the game’s welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Initially only the first level is unlocked.
    • Each time you beat a level you unlock the next.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including beat levels & level scores.
  • Underneath the play button there are buttons for how to play help, high scores, and play more games.
  • The lower left corner of the welcome screen has a language select drop down.

• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select identically matching open tiles to pair them off and remove them from the board.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select identically matching open tiles to pair them off and remove them from the board.
  • Controls & indicators
    • On the left side of the screen it shows your level score, available open matches, and which level number you are on.

• Game Play
  • Open stones
    • A stone (or tile) is considered open if there is no tile directly on top of it & at least one of its left or right sides is open.
      • Only open tiles can be matched.
      • Tiles which are open have a picture of a butterfly on them.
      • Tiles which are not open show up as a cream color with no picture on them.
    • Selected tiles have a yellow outline while they are selected.
    • When no matches remain the tiles are automatically shuffled.
      • The automated shuffling does not cost you points.
      • Conversely, this means that if the tiles have not shuffled you know there is at least 1 open match remaining.
    • If you chose the wrong tile then selecting any other non-matching tile will deselect the prior tile.
    • Generally it is best to go for the widest rows and tallest columns first to open up the playing field, but the unlimited free shuffles makes that less important in this game.
  • Levels
    • This game has 21 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
    • You can go back to previously beat levels to replay them and try to improve your score on them.
    • You typically score more points in later levels since they have many more tiles on them.
    • Levels are not timed, but each stage has a unique board layout.
  • Scoring
    • Each tile match you make is worth 302 points.
    • You can score extra points by making many valid moves in a row to activate a chain bonus.
    • Your game score is cumulative across levels.
