• Starting the Game
  • Select the first level to start the game.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including beat levels.
  • The welcome screen has a sound control button in the upper right.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Move left by pressing the A key or the left arrow key.
    • Move right by pressing the D key or the right arrow key.
    • Move up by pressing the W key or the up arrow key.
    • Move down by pressing the S key or the down arrow key.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • This game was designed for play on computers with an attached keyboard.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner has a level select button.
    • The upper right corner has a sound control button.
    • The lower left corner has an energy meter.
    • The welcome screen shows which of the 20 levels you have beat by placing a star on them.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • This is a turn-based game where you play as a character that uses a bit of energy each time you move.
      • When it is your turn to move you are required to make a move.
      • You move one square at a time.
    • If your energy level gets low (or you want to recharge at any time) step on a green square with a lightning bolt on it to restore your power.
    • Enemies
      • Move strategically so you bump off the enemies without getting hit.
      • Some enemies you fight (the large alien head enemy) move every turn, while other enemies (the buried circles which turn red before moving) move every other turn.
      • If an enemy is in an adjacent square and it is their turn to move they’ll bump into you and you’ll lose.
      • When you initiate you defeat the enemy, however you only move to the square they are in to bump them & then move back to the square you were at previously.
  • Levels
    • This game has 20 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by getting to the blue square with a lightning bolt on it.
      • You lose if an enemy hits you or if your power meter reaches zero.
      • This game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of any level you lost.
  • Tips
    • Early in the game the levels are quite easy & straightforward. As you advance through the game the level layouts get trickier.
      • Try to think at least 1 or 2 steps ahead with any move you make.
      • If an enemy has 2 empty squares between you and them & moves every turn you can move toward them, but if there is 1 empty square you can’t or they’ll hit you.
      • As long as restoring your power won’t leave you in a precarious position it makes sense to do it regularly.
    • Block enemies
      • Sometimes you should skip defeating an enemy which moves every other turn until after you defeat the enemy which moves every turn, so that you can use the slower moving enemy to force the faster moving enemy into an error.
      • Sometimes it makes sense to move the opposite direction you would go if you were trying to beat enemies one at a time to get them bunched up together.
    • Level guides
      • 7: Take out the enemy to the right first. Then the others will come down to you where you can pick them off one at a time.
      • 8: Move right & take out the first enemy. Left & down, then take out the right enemy, then the top enemy.
      • 10: Right then down, and then take out the 2 adjacent enemies. Move up & take out the top remaining enemy, recharge, then get the last enemy.
      • 11: up then down, up once then attack, then on the next move attack the enemy above you & to your left. Recharge, then attack the last remaining enemy on the level exit.
      • 12: Move right, up, down, right, and get to the power pad after defeating one enemy. Attack the enemy to your left, the enemy below, then the top enemy, and then exit.
      • 13: Move right then down, attack 2 adjacent enemies. Attack enemy above you, then recharge. Attack as you move your way toward the exit.
      • 14: Move right, attack left, attack left, exit without even requiring a recharge.
      • 15: Move up rather than down. Avoid defeating the 2-move enemy until after you defeated the single move enemy. Be one block left of the charge pad where you are cornered on both sides, then move up. Attack the 1-move enemy, then the 2-move enemy. Recharge and exit.
      • 16: Move left & attack the 1-move enemy, then attack another 1-move enemy. Avoid making with the 2-move enemy until the final 1-move enemy has been beat. Move up and around to recharge. Beat the 1-move enemy. Move away from the charge pad one step, then defeat the 2-move enemy after moving back toward the center.
      • 17: Take out the first enemy on the top. Move side to side evading the 2-move enemies & take one out. Hit the 1-move enemy from the bottom then the 2-move enemy that remains. If you are cornered by a 1-move enemy and a 2-move enemy then move one square away, attack the 1-move enemy, then recharge your power and hit the 2-move enemy.
      • 18: Go up first to bunch the enemies together, then move downward and defeat one of the enemies to the right. Go back and charge up again. Then move left one square, and attack a 1-move enemy. Move right & attack the final 1-move enemy, then attack the 2-move enemy.
      • 19: There is no recharger, so no need to worry about recharging. Move up & take out that enemy, then take out the enemy below. Move down, attack the 2-move enemy to the left, then attack the final 1-move enemy atop the blue pad.
      • 20: Never move from the middle square. Defeat each individual enemy as they approach. There are multiple charge pads, but you do not need to use any of them.
