Marble Bounce Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Left click or tap anywhere on the loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • On the welcome screen, select Start Game to begin.
  • On the top right corner of the welcome screen are the following controls:
    • Reset button: Use this to start the level from the beginning.
    • Speaker button: Use this to turn the game’s sounds on or off.

  • Basic rules
    • Move the marble to the pipe at the end of the level.
    • Roll and jump to surmount chasms and collect gems.
      • Some gems move up and down. Time your moves the marble collects them when they’re easily reachable.
    • Watch out for falling platforms.
    • Reach the pipe and enter it to finish the level.
      • Select Retry on the top center of the win screen to play the level again.
      • Select Continue or press the space bar to proceed with the next level.
  • Lives.
    • Your marble is fragile. It can only bounce twice or three before it shatters.
      • The amount of times a marble can bounce is indicated by the number of colored layers inside it.
      • These layers represent your in-game lives.
        • A clear marble is destroyed on the next jump.
        • A single filling color (pink or purple) indicates a second hit point.
        • Dual colored filling (a second pink, or purple) indicates a third hit point.
    • Collecting a gem enables the marble to avoid shattering.
      • To collect some gems, you need to jump over obstacles exactly once.
      • Some levels require you to finish them by collecting all the gems, due to the number of times you’ll need to bounce.
    • If the marble shatters, a new one appears at the beginning of the level. Any of the gems you collected will reappear.
  • Hazards
    • Some platforms can only hold you for a brief time before they fall down.
      • If you stay on them for too long, they crumble.
      • They reappear each time the level reloads.
    • A few levels have spikes.
      • Touching the spikes will use up one of your lives.
  • Stars
    • You receive a gold star whenever you collect all the gems in a level.
      • If you finish the level without collecting all the gems, you may receive a silver star, or no star at all.
  • Levels
    • There are 20 main levels and 1 bonus level in this game.
      • The levels are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can replay any of the levels you’ve previously beaten to try to earn a higher star rating on them.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by making it to the exit pipe.
      • You lose a level if your marble shatters.
      • This game offers unlimited continues.
  • Tips
    • Walls
      • Whenever you fall off platform or jump and land the game typically takes away a hit point.
      • Sometimes when you run into a wall just before landing and slide down the wall you can make a jump without losing hit points.
      • Be careful not to graze platforms in the middle of your jump if you do not intend to land on them as it can cost you extra hit points.
    • Landing vs gem collecting order
      • You can carry a limited number of hit points.
      • In some cases you have to collect a gem before you land so you don’t break upon landing.
      • In other cases you should land first and then collect the gem either by having it run into you or by obtaining it as part of your next jump.
    • Star ratings
      • If you get less than a gold star rating on a level keep playing through the game until you beat it.
      • The final level is so much harder than the other stages that if you are able to beat it you will easily be able to get a gold star on the earlier stages.
    • Final level
      • When you get to the final level you have to intentionally get hit by the flames in order to push yourself high enough to make it onto the higher platforms.
        • You do this once at the far right of the ground level to go right so you can get on the ledge, then jump across all the platforms left.
        • After jumping across the platforms left you jump across the platforms right & then have to have enough hit points remaining to be able to get hit by the flames on the upper right for it to throw you back across to the finish on the upper left.
      • The final level is exceptionally difficult. There are 15 gems to collect & you have to make about a half dozen jumps on narrow platforms with shaky ground.
