• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button at the center to begin.
    • Select the speaker button to turn the game’s sounds on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your high score.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click on a number to select it. Drag and drop it to an identical number to merge it.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers and use it as a mouse.
  • Controls and indicators
    • Game screen (top row, left to right):
      • Pause button: Pauses the game and opens the pause screen.
      • Score
    • Pause screen (center, top-down):
      • Continue: Resumes the game
      • Audio: Turns the game’s sounds on or off
      • Home: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen
• Game Play
  • Basic rules
    • You begin with a 5 x 7 grid with numbers at the bottom two rows.
    • Merge identical number blocks to form blocks that are twice the value.
      • There must be no obstruction between the numbers.
      • You cannot readily move numbers that are attached to another unless space allows it.
        • When they are moved they move as a set of 2.
        • You can “decouple” numbers by merging one of them.
        • If you form an identical number from merging one that’s attached to another, those two numbers will merge automatically.
    • Repeat the process for as long as you can.
    • Each time you move a block without merging, a new row of blocks appears below.
      • Don’t let any block get past the top row of spaces.
      • If a block gets past the top row, it’s game over.
    • To “win”, you must reach the 1 million block.
  • Scoring
    • Your score increases in multiples of five.
      • Merging a pair of 2s, for instance, nets you 5 points.
      • Merging 4s will net you 10 points, and so on.
    • You can compare your latest and best scores on the game over screen.
  • Sessions
    • Your browser automatically saves your session. If you stop playing, you can resume your previous session by reloading the game.
    • The game does not stop until you win or lose.
    • On the game over screen are the following controls:
      • Select the home button on top to return to the welcome screen.
      • Select the replay button to play again.
