• Starting the Game
  • Tap anywhere on the game loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • Tap the mustard and white PLAY button on the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The welcome screen has a game CREDITS button and a MORE GAMES button under the PLAY button. The upper right corner of the welcome screen also has a sound control button.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Move the paint sponge up by pressing the W key or the up arrow key.
    • Move the paint sponge down by pressing the S key or the down arrow key.
    • Move the paint sponge left by pressing the A key or the left arrow key.
    • Move the paint sponge right by pressing the D key or the right arrow key.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger and drag it in the direction you wish to move the paint sponge.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen shows the level number.
    • The upper right corner of the screen has buttons for returning to the level select screen, restarting the current level, and sound control.
    • The level select screen shows which levels are unlocked.

  • Basics
    • In this game you have to paint every gray square on the grid blue.
    • Your paint paths can cross over each other.
    • Whenever you paint you move in the direction you are painting until you run into a wall, and then you can change direction again.
  • Levels
    • This game has 48 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a stage by painting every square in the grid blue.
      • You lose a stage if it is not possible to paint every square blue based on your path selections.
        • This game does not show a level failed screen.
        • Use the level reset button in the upper right corner if you make an error.
        • You can replay a level an unlimited number of times.
  • Tips
    • Your initial moves on each stage are the most important, as some rows or columns are not accessible from any other location if you do not immediately travel them from the start of the level.
      • Look in all 4 directions for paths that are not tied to a course edge and go down whichever path can’t be accessed via other direction before going down any other path.
        • Only go down other paths first if you know you can easily come back and stop on the square you started the level on.
      • Sometimes you will need to paint 2 parallel rows or columns before painting other tiles, or you will need to paint a row and a column before moving off the starting spot to the rest of the puzzle.
    • Some routes connect 2 different sides of a stage & can’t easily be crossed multiple times.
      • Be sure that if you go down a path that you can’t come back you have already painted all the other tiles on the side you came from.
      • Some areas of the puzzle can’t be escaped from.
        • Be sure to go to them only after painting all other tiles.
