• Starting the Game

  • Basic rules
    • Find the key hidden within the level.
    • Collect as many coins as you can.
    • Fight off or defeat any enemy yokai you encounter.
      • You can defeat an enemy by throwing kunai at them from a distance or using your sword.
      • You do not need to defeat all the enemies to finish a level.
    • Reach the door at the end of the level to exit.
    • If you get defeated, the game returns you to the welcome screen.
    • On the win screen, left click or tap to move to the next level.
  • Lives
    • You begin each level with 3 lives.
      • Each time a monster attacks you, you lose a life.
      • Falling off a pit is an instant game over regardless of how many lives you have.
    • Lose all your lives and you fail the level.
      • Your lives are replenished one you load the next level.
      • If you die in the game you can restart the game starting at the level you just played, though your game score will reset to zero.
  • Levels
    • There are 30 levels in this game, which are unlocked sequentially.

  • Scoring
    • Your score is based on the number of coins you collected and the enemies you’ve defeated.
