• Starting the Game
  • Press the play button in the center of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • You can’t go back to the level select screen without restarting the game over from the first level.
  • The welcome screen has a sound control button under the play button.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Tap the spacebar on your keyboard to change the screen state.
    • You can also use your mouse left click to change the screen state.
    • Using the spacebar tends to offer a bit more granular control for most players.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to change the screen state.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the game shows what level number you are on.
    • The upper right corner of the game has buttons to return home or restart the level.
      • If you go back to the game’s welcome screen it will erase your game progress.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • Your slime does not jump, but automatically runs on its own forever. You run until you hit something, then run in the opposite direction.
    • Your goal is to create a safe path for the slime to travel down in order to collect the coin at the end of each level.
    • Switch the state of blocks on the level so that your slime does not run into any dangers & you keep progressing closer to the coin.
    • When you switch the state of the level semi-visible items become solid & some solid items become semi-visible, allowing you to through them.
  • Switching
    • When you switch states it can make some walls or floors disappear.
      • In some cases you need to take your time in between switches, while in other you need to make rapid consecutive switches.
      • Trial and error is a good way to learn as you can replay any level you lose on.
    • Along with the blocks changing state you also change the state of trampolines and gravity reversing machines.
      • The trampolines are transparent when they do not provide lift and solid when they do give you bounce.
      • The gravity reversing machines are green when they will reverse gravity & red when they will not.
      • When you jump or switch gravity in some cases you need to first by the feature and either come toward it while walking the other way or activate it while the remainder of the path is cleared of other moving enemies.
  • Not switching
    • Some platforms remain solid and stable without having any impact from switches.
    • Stationary spikes, moving blades, and spiked balls that fly typically are not impacted by switching.
      • The rare exception here is that some moving blades are blocked by a solid brick while most are not.
    • The red slimes do not disappear when you switch states, however you can time your switches so that the red slime perish by walking into spikes.
  • Levels
    • This game has 30 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without starting the game over.
      • Do not go to the level select screen or else it will erase your game progress and you will start back at level 1.
    • You die if you run into spikes, red slime, or any other hazardous obstacle hits you.
      • The game offers unlimited continues.
      • If you lose on a level the game immediately restarts you at the beginning of that level.
    • You beat a level as soon as you safely make it to the coin, even if you would have perished a second later.
  • Strategy
    • The key to this game is to know which aspects of a level you have to complete in rapid sequence and where you can take a breather or pause.
    • Be sure to take a pause / breather when your character is in a safe spot so that you have optimal timing when approaching the next portion of the level.
    • If you are struggling to figure out the best way through a level put a finger on the coin & then work backward to figure out which way you need to go to get there.
