• Starting the Game
  • On the right side of the welcome screen are the following buttons:
    • Select Play to begin the game.
    • Select Help to open the game’s tutorial window.
    • Select High Scores to view the game’s leaderboard.
    • Select Other Games to view the rest of our catalog.
  • Select the drop down list on the bottom left corner to change the game’s language.
  • Select the social media button on the bottom right corner to share the game on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.

    • With your mouse:
      • Left click and drag to aim.
      • Release to shoot.

• Game Play
  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
      • You begin with only the first level unlocked.
      • Finish one level to unlock the next one.
    • There are 40 levels in this game.
    • Each time you reload the game, you have the option to continue your previous session or start a new game.
      • Continuing means that you start again from the last level you’ve unlocked.
      • You can use continuing to restart a level if you don’t like how it’s going.
  • Basic rules
    • Shoot down all the aliens onscreen.
      • Unlike in most shooting games, you fire in a straight line rather than an arch. Plan each shot accordingly.
      • In later levels, some aliens (and even you) may be on moving platforms.
      • You can also shoot through boxes. However, shots can only destroy one box at a time.
    • Some aliens need more shots to take out than others.
      • Weaker aliens have nothing above them and go down in a single hit.
      • Tougher aliens are marked by hit points, represented by 3 yellow spheres above them.
        • Each time they take a hit, the spheres get grayed out.
        • Hit them 3 times to defeat them.
        • You gain points each time you do hit them.
    • You only have a limited number of shots.
      • The number of shots you have is more than enough for all the aliens onscreen.
      • If you run out of shots, you won’t be able to finish the level.
      • To continue after you’ve run out of shots, do the following:
        • Pause the game and exit to the welcome screen.
        • On the welcome screen, select Play and choose Continue Previous Game to reload the same level.
    • Some aliens lie just outside your reach:
      • To get at them, you must bounce your shots off walls.
      • Aim for a part of the wall that will cause the shot to bounce toward the alien.
      • You may need to restart the level multiple times to get it right.
  • Scoring
    • Scoring is cumulative in this game. The points you’ve earned in one level carry over to the next.
    • You earn 50 points for every successful shot you make.
    • In addition, you get extra points for every remaining shot at the end of the game.
      • The number of points you get varies. If you clear the level with 2 shots left, you get 400 points. However, finishing with 3 remaining shots nets you 900 points.
      • The more shots you finish with, the higher your bonus will be.
      • The bonus works as a square of the remaining shots left, with that product multiplied by 100.
    • You can save your score in the leaderboard when you win all the levels.
