• Starting the Game
  • Press the PLAY button in the lower left corner of the welcome screen to start the game.
    • If it is your first time playing you will start with a new tank and all levels other than the first locked.
    • If you have played before your web browser automatically saves your game progress including coin savings, purchased upgrades, and completed levels.
  • The upper right corner of the welcome screen has a sound control button and a game developer information button.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse to aim and use the left click button to fire.
    • Press the spacebar to switch between weapons.
    • Move up by pressing the W key.
    • Move left by pressing the A key.
    • Move right by pressing the D key.
    • Move down by pressing the S key.
    • You can move diagonally by holding two keys at once, and you can intermittently change directions by primarily moving in one direction and tapping another direction key.

    • Your health and your remaining bullets are shown in the upper left corner of the screen.
    • The upper right corner of the screen has a pause button and radar.

  • Basics
    • This is a levels-based tank game where you have to destroy all other tanks on each stage to complete it.
      • The upper right corner of the screen has a radar which shows enemy tanks in red & power up boxes in green.
      • Each time you play a particular stage you will face the same number of tanks, however the game randomizes which types of tanks you will face.
      • The differences between the tanks you face can make a particular level easier or harder than it might otherwise seem it should be.
    • Collecting coins
      • When you destroy tanks you collect coins.
      • You can also collect coins by destroying gray boxes scattered throughout the level.
      • You collect coins if you beat a level and even if you die on it.
      • The coins you collect can be used to purchase upgrades.
  • Upgrades
    • In this game you can upgrade your armor, tank speed, and shot aim 5 times each.
      • Speed starts off costing 1,500 coins.
      • Armor starts off costing 2,000 coins.
      • Aim improvement starts off costing 1,250 coins.
    • There are 9 different weapons you can unlock, upgrade, and buy ammo for.
      • Weapons
        • The basic small caliber gun comes unlocked at the start of the game.
        • Shotgun costs 2,000 to unlock.
        • Minigun costs 3,000 to unlock.
        • Cannon costs 4,000 to unlock.
        • Fire (flamethrower) costs 6,000 to unlock.
        • Phaser (laser) cost 8,000 to unlock.
        • Rockets cost 12,000 to unlock.
        • Grenade launcher costs 14,000 to unlock.
        • Shock (tractor beam) costs 16,000 to unlock.
      • Each gun can be upgraded 4 times to make the gun do more damage.
        • You start off with 50 ammo on each weapon & then the ammo hold limit increases by 5 for each upgrade.
        • Each weapon upgrade for guns beyond the small caliber costs 500 more than the prior upgrade did for the same weapon.
      • All guns other than the small caliber gun have ammo limits and require you to buy ammo.
        • You can go back to the upgrades menu to buy ammo after winning or losing any stage.
    • When an upgrade is purchased you keep that attribute through future plays.
      • The only item you run out of and need to replenish is ammo.
  • Levels
    • This game has 30 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by destroying all the enemy tanks on it.
      • You lose a level if your health depletes to zero, and your tank blows up.
      • This game offers unlimited continues, starting you at the beginning of any failed level.
      • If you lose a level you still collect the coins gained during the battle.
  • Tips
    • Attack orientation
      • It is best to try to attack opposing tanks from a wide side of the screen so that you can align your aim from further away.
      • If you attack from the narrower side of the screen they may be able to hit you before their tank is even on the screen.
    • Fight strategy
      • When fighting opposing tanks it is good to move backward away from them while slightly turning so that you can keep hitting them but they can’t easily hit you.
        • Move backward toward where you started the level so that you have a clean path backward and only have to worry about the one tank you are facing.
        • Clear out the green and red boxes along the path so you do not accidentally ignite one on yourself while moving backward.
      • Use the boxes
        • Sometimes enemy tanks are near green poison boxes or explosive red boxes.
        • You can do a lot of damage to their tanks by destroying one of those boxes when they are ing by.
      • Powerful tanks
        • If you are playing against high-powered tanks with rockets or shock try to keep objects between you and have them destroy themselves by running into poison boxes and exploding boxes.
        • If you collect a shield immediately go after the highest power tank on the level so that you clear them out while the shield is active.
    • Pickups
      • The green boxes that are highlighted on the radar have pickups inside them.
      • They may contain health, shield, or ammo.
        • Ammo is added to whatever gun you have active at that time.
        • Health adds something like 1/5 to 1/3 of your health bar, though you can’t fill health above 100% full.
        • If you get a shield rush toward enemy tanks and take them out with high-powered weapons to do a lot of damage to them while the shield is active.
    • General route planning
      • Some levels start you in an area with 2 ways out. It is typically best to only shoot out one direction so that the other direction is still sealed.
      • When no tanks are nearby and you are clearing out boxes to earn coins use the regular gun. As you go into battle – or when you know you soon will – equip higher powered weapons.
