• Starting the Game
  • Click on the yellow play button.
    • This will bring up a character select screen where you can choose to play as Tom or Jerry.
    • After choosing your character there is a difficulty select menu to play easy, medium, or hard.
  • The welcome screen also has a “How to Play” button offering gameplay instructions walkthrough.
  • Your high score is stored in your local web browser.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop:
    • Your character runs automatically. You only control minor movements beyond the core run.
      • With Tom you click the mouse and slide Tom backward or forward so that the falling plates land in his hands.
      • With Jerry click once to jump over small obstacles and click twice to do a double jump over larger obstacles and to collect cheese.
      • Press the spacebar to pause the game. Press the spacebar again to resume the game.
  • Mobile: Use on-screen controls.
• Strategy
  • Avoiding Death
    • In either game the game ends when you miss 3 plates (if you play as Tom) or run into three objects (if you play as Jerry).
  • Difficulty Level
    • The primary difference between difficulty level is the speed you run at and the number of plates and obstacles in the game.
    • Jerry
      • On easy Jerry only has to single jump over small obstacles.
      • Medium introduces some larger obstacles as well which you have to double jump over.
      • Hard is so fast you almost have to immediately start a jump as soon as you see anything and then quickly follow up by clicking again to double jump if it is a larger item like a stuffed teddy bear.
      • On easy you can grab almost all the cheese with little risk. On medium you can grab some of the cheese with little risk. On hard the game moves so fast it is almost worth ignoring cheese.
    • The difficulty level on hard mode for Tom is still quite easy (at least on desktop with a large monitor and a precision mouse).
  • Scoring Points
    • Each plate Tom catches is worth 10 points.
    • Jerry scores anywhere from 100 to 200 points for jumping over obstacles and 200 points for grabbing cheese.
    • Playing Tom is easier than playing Jerry, but Tom scores points slowly in this game.
  • Restarting the Game
    • When the game is over it shows your current score, your all time high score, and there is a yellow “Play Again” button on the game over screen.
    • When you play again you once again can choose to play as Tom or Jerry and set the difficulty level.
